TShaw Strong Celebrity Golf Classic
A two-day tournament in Williamson County: a Comedy & Cards kickoff party, then a celebrity shotgun-start scramble. The event that started TShaw Strong in 2016.
The golf tournament is where TShaw Strong started. The first TShaw Strong Golf Invitational was held in November 2016 at the Hideaway at Arrington: 140-plus golfers, $25,000 raised, and every dollar of it sent to Team Gleason. The 2017 tournament raised more than $100,000. Across every year since 2016 the tournament has raised over $300,000.
It ran for years under the name TShawStrong Golf Invitational and is the same event: the 2024 edition was played on Thursday, May 16, 2024. The Celebrity Golf Classic name and the two-day spring format are the current form of it.
The event has since grown into a two-day format in Williamson County: a Comedy and Cards bourbon-and-casino kickoff party on the Sunday, a celebrity shotgun-start scramble on the Monday, dinner and awards to close it out. Tim speaks at both.
Sponsorship is the engine of this event. It is also, for a Nashville-area business, one of the more enjoyable ways to put your name in front of the Titans community.
